1. Who We Are

Box Off is a trading name of Pug Mug Marketing Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

References to "Box Off", "we", "us" or "our" in these terms mean Pug Mug Marketing Ltd.

2. The Service

Box Off is a cloud-based job management platform designed for UK tradespeople and small trade businesses. The platform provides tools including (but not limited to):

• Job pipeline and kanban-style job management
• Quote and estimate building
• Invoice creation and management
• Customer relationship management (CRM)
• Digital jobsheets and job notes
• Materials tracking

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. Where changes are material, we will give you reasonable notice.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

To use Box Off you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a sole trader, business owner, or authorised employee of a trade business
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@boxoff.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may only hold one account per person. You may not share your account credentials with third parties or allow others to access Box Off through your account.

4. Free Trial

New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with full access to the platform. No payment information is required to start your trial.

At the end of the trial period, you will be invited to subscribe. If you choose not to subscribe, your account will be suspended and your data will be retained for a further 30 days, after which it will be permanently deleted. We will send you a reminder before this happens.

We reserve the right to limit or modify the free trial at any time.

5. Subscription and Payment

After the free trial, Box Off is available by monthly subscription at £12.99 per month (prices are shown exclusive of VAT where applicable). VAT will be charged at the prevailing UK rate where required.

5.1 Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance on the anniversary of your subscription start date. Payment is taken automatically using the payment method you provide.

5.2 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will notify you and retry. If payment remains outstanding after 7 days, access to your account may be suspended until payment is received. Your data will not be deleted during a short suspension period.

5.3 Price Changes

We may change our subscription price with at least 30 days' notice by email. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before the price change takes effect.

5.4 Refunds

As Box Off is a business-to-business (B2B) software service, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 cooling-off rights do not apply once you begin using the service. Subscription fees are non-refundable except:

• Where required by law
• Where we have materially failed to provide the service as described
• At our sole discretion in exceptional circumstances

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from within your account settings or by emailing info@boxoff.co.uk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access until then.

After cancellation, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow you to export it, after which it will be permanently deleted.

We are not obliged to refund any unused portion of a subscription period.

7. Your Data

7.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data, records, and content that you input into Box Off ("Your Data"). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Data.

7.2 Licence to Process

By using Box Off, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display Your Data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We will not use Your Data for any other purpose without your consent.

7.3 Data Export

You may export Your Data at any time from within your account. If you require assistance with a data export, contact us at info@boxoff.co.uk and we will endeavour to provide your data in a commonly used format within 14 days.

7.4 Backups and Data Loss

We take reasonable technical steps to back up data stored on our platform, including regular automated backups. However:

• We do not guarantee that backups will be available or restorable at any particular time
• We strongly recommend that you maintain your own independent copies of critical business data
• We are not liable for any loss, corruption, or unavailability of Your Data, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct
• In the event of data loss, we will make reasonable efforts to restore data from the most recent available backup, but cannot guarantee complete recovery

Your data is important to your business. Please keep your own records and do not rely solely on Box Off as your only data store.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Box Off to:

• Breach any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
• Store, transmit, or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or fraudulent
• Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of our software
• Resell, sublicence, or otherwise commercially exploit the platform without our written consent
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the platform in ways that exceed normal use
• Use the service for any purpose other than legitimate trade business management

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if we reasonably believe you are in breach of this section.

9. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in Box Off — including the software, platform, design, trade marks, logos, and content created by us — belong to Pug Mug Marketing Ltd or our licensors.

Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the platform for your own business purposes during the subscription period.

10. Availability and Service Levels

We aim to keep Box Off available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible. We may take the service offline for emergency maintenance without prior notice.

We are not liable for any losses arising from downtime, interruptions, or errors in the service, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

11. Third-Party Services

Box Off may integrate with or link to third-party services (for example, payment processors). These services are provided by third parties and are subject to their own terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the performance, availability, or conduct of third-party services.

12. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law

Subject to the above, our total aggregate liability to you in connection with these terms (whether in contract, tort, breach of statutory duty or otherwise) shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable to you for any:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or business
• Loss of anticipated savings
• Loss of goodwill or reputation
• Loss or corruption of data (save as set out in clause 7.4)
• Indirect or consequential losses

These limitations apply even if we have been advised of the possibility of such losses.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pug Mug Marketing Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your breach of these terms
• Your misuse of the platform
• Your violation of any applicable law or third-party right
• Any data you input into the platform that infringes a third party's rights

14. Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately by written notice if:

• You materially breach these terms and (where the breach is capable of remedy) fail to remedy it within 14 days of our notice
• You fail to pay subscription fees when due
• You become insolvent, enter administration, or cease trading
• We are legally required to do so

On termination by us for your breach, no refund of subscription fees will be given. Your data will be retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of Box Off after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may cancel your subscription before they take effect.

16. Confidentiality

We will treat Your Data as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except as set out in our Privacy Policy, as required by law, or with your consent.

17. Entire Agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us relating to your use of Box Off and supersede all prior agreements and representations. In the event of any conflict between these terms and our Privacy Policy, these terms shall prevail.

18. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

19. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver of any right or provision is effective only if made in writing.

20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
